Habitat for Humanity Riverside Playhouse Build

Habitat for Humanity Riverside is pleased to offer the Playhouse Build Program, a unique volunteer opportunity that gives groups and individuals a meaningful, creative, and hands-on day of building playhouses. The playhouses are then donated to local children to provide a space to call their own. Funds raised through the Playhouse Build Program support Habitat Riverside’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope.

TopHow it Works

A Playhouse Build is a 6-hour event of building and decorating durable playhouses, with groups of up to 10 people per playhouse. Sponsors contribute a tax-deductible donation starting at $3,000 per playhouse to offset associated costs and to further the mission of Habitat Riverside. Sponsors work directly with Habitat staff to customize their build experience. With flexible scheduling, this is a great engagement option for groups and events of any size. Teams of any kind can sponsor a Playhouse Build: corporate groups, faith communities, service groups, groups of friends, etc.

TopRequirements
  • All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Complete waiver on the day of your build.
  • No construction experience is necessary.
  • Habitat Riverside provides all materials, but your group is welcome to bring decorations such as decals, stencils, etc.
TopScheduling and Location

Sponsors may choose a day between Monday-Saturday. Be prepared for a 6-hour workday. Builds are hosted at Habitat Riverside headquarters (2180 Iowa Ave. Riverside, CA, 92507) or can be hosted at your group’s preferred location.
