Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s A Brush with Kindness program is an exterior home preservation service that offers painting, landscaping, and exterior minor repair services for homeowners in need.

A Brush with Kindness helps low-income homeowners impacted by age, disability and family circumstances, who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes, to reclaim their homes with pride and dignity. Habitat for Humanity Riverside partners with people in Corona, Eastvale, El Cerrito, Highgrove, Home Gardens, Jurupa Valley, Moreno Valley, Norco, Riverside, and Woodcrest to help them build or improve a place they can call home. WHY IT MATTERS

A Brush with Kindness ensures that families live in safe and well-maintained homes. The program is designed to revitalize the appearance of the neighborhood, encourage connections within the community, and most importantly, help preserve affordable housing stock.

A Brush with Kindness serves as a companion to our core building services, enabling our organization to serve more families and increase opportunities for volunteers and sponsors.

HOW WE DO IT

•  Habitat for Humanity Riverside selects partner families based on income, need, and willingness to partner.
• Habitat for Humanity Riverside uses volunteer labor and donated materials to keep costs low and take no profit for their services.
• Habitat for Humanity Riverside continues to build strong relationships with the cities through grants funding.
• Habitat for Humanity Riverside is able to serve the following areas: City of Corona, City of Jurupa Valley, City of Moreno Valley, City of Riverside, and some unincorporated areas near the City of Riverside.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• There is a need to provide the services.
• Homeowner(s) reside in the home as primary resident(s).
• Total household income does not exceed 80% the maximum annual income limits. View the income limit chart below
• Homeowner(s) must have homeowner’s insurance.
