On August 19th, 2017, Wells Fargo volunteers came out for the third time this year to help out a veteran in the Riverside community. Wells Fargo has been such a great contributor to Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s mission and vision. They truly have a special place in their hearts for our veterans.
That morning volunteers came out to help out Michael, an Army veteran who has lived in his Riverside home for over a decade. He is not originally from California but loves the weather and decided to stay here after serving in the Army. Michael desperately needed help on his home. The exterior paint was faded and weathered, some of the skirting was damaged and some trim boards were missing.
Just like in the past, Wells Fargo volunteers came out ready to paint. That morning they showed that they were determined to help whenever possible. Some of the volunteers helped with the repairs and others painted the home. A volunteer expressed that he loves being a part of Habitat projects and has volunteered on past veterans projects.
Michael was amazed and very appreciative of the work done by the Wells Fargo volunteers. Thanks to Wells Fargo for painting the home of an Army veteran and resident of Riverside.
