It is always a pleasure to work with multiple volunteer groups and see that businesses from all over coming together for one goal: to bless and paint a low-income homeowner’s home. This happened in Green River Mobil Home Park with is located in the city of Corona. The main group who organized this A Brush With Kindness project was Emerald Escrow. According to their website, “Emerald Escrow has been successfully serving the Southern California Real Estate Community since 1977.” They specialize in residential real estate and exchanges.
The home that was painted was in serious need of paint. The homeowner’s contact Habitat for Humanity Riverside about a possible citation for maintenance of the exterior of the home. Once the homeowner’s qualified for the project Habitat Riverside began to prepare the home for painting. The entrance steps of the homeowner’s home also needed repairs and so Habitat staff secured and repaired the entrance steps.
The paint day went smoothly as always and the project did not take more than four hours to complete. The homeowners were ecstatically joyful and the volunteers were blessed to aid the family. The project also improved the community of Green River Mobile Home Park and the citation warning was removed from the management. This was another successful ABWK in the city of Corona.
