Awesome teamwork from the youth groups from Calvary Presbyterian and Wesley United Methodist that came together on Saturday July 7 in King Arthur Estates to paint the home belonging to Terry Nunnenkamp. Terry worked along side the volunteers and the group did an amazing job finishing the work by 11:30 and even inviting the homeowner to a group lunch in the park clubhouse. It was super hot but everyone stayed with it and worked hard to finish before we hit the worst of the afternoon heat. The unit looks so good, with its fresh new paint. We had not planned to paint the uprights but with everything else looking so great we decided to bring a small group back to paint the uprights in a week or two. We had some great detail painters and Terry was so touched by the help he received he even made a nice donation to the Helping Hands Program to benefit another homeowner who needs help down the line. Thanks to the volunteers and thanks to Terry!
