UCR business students lead by Professor Sean Jasso took a break from their summer studies to help paint Pat’s mobile home in Moreno Valley. This group of student volunteers have not worked with Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s A Brush with Kindness program before and arrived Friday morning excited to paint. After safety orientation and a lesson in painting 101 the students broke up into groups started their day of service.
The students showed their efficiency by completely all the spefic tasks that were assigned to the different groups. One group worked on the awnings while other groups worked on each side of the walls, including every side of the shed! The day started to heat up and by Noon the group had finished the main home area, all the awnings and most of the supports.
It is always a pleasure to listen to college students talking about their classes, dreams and plans for the future. UCR business students thank you for giving your time and efforts! You all passed and we would love to have you volunteer with us again.
