Once again, the Habitat Chapter at Ramona High School came out in force to do an excellent job painting the a mobile home belonging to a 70 year old woman on Crestmore Rd in Jurupa Valley. HFHR just finished building a new home two doors down and this mobile home really stood out, not in a good way! There is no way the resident could afford to pay for a paint job so we were so happy to be able to help her and the neighborhood out.
Before we got started Construction Manager Steve Pep took the whole group through for a tour of the new house so they could check it out. For most of the group it was probably the first time they were inside a Habitat house and they loved the chance to touch and feel everything before the new owners move in.
This might be Ramona Chapter founding member and former president Brittany’s last venture with us, at least for a while, since she is off to college at Pepperdine. Way to go Brittany! We’ll miss your leadership, your good humor and energy but we are so proud of you. Any time you want to join in on a volunteer day you are always welcome but we know it will be hard to venture away from that beautiful ocean view!
