On June 10th, the Dominguez, our newest Habitat Homeowners will be moving into their new home later this month. The family met with Joe, Habitat’s Project Manager, to put the finishing touches before the official move in day.
Together with Joe, the family took a trip to Lowe’s Garden Center where they picked a wide selection of vegetables to plant a vegetable garden. Their excitement was shown as they walked through the center choosing which vegetables would be best for their family.
Before planting, the weeds needed to be pulled and the three Dominguez women worked together to rid the weeds and level the soil before planting.
Various peppers, tomatoes, and herbs were planted and the family is looking forward to enjoy a great selection of fresh vegetables all season long!
