Jurupa Valley Mayor Laura Roughton and the women of Lowe’s participated in the Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week held May 5th to 13th. This year’s theme, “The Build Generation,” reflects the event’s goal to recruit and train women volunteers, as well as welcome the next generation of Habitat Women Builders to help support Habitat’s mission to create affordable housing.
Today, Mayor Roughton and the women of Lowe’s papered and lathed the Dominguez family’s new home in Jurupa Valley. Lowe’s is also donating a $5,000 Lowe’s store gift card to put towards the Dominguez’s home in support of the National Women Build Week.
