It was a fun and eco-friendly afternoon at the Western Municipal Water District’s ‘Earth Night in the Garden’. Children squealed with glee as Pam the Ladybug Lady ‘released’ handfuls of ladybugs into the gathering by the thousands. There were crafts, composting demonstrations and even free tomato plants and kettlecorn! The Habitat for Humanity Riverside & ReStore booth had a swarm of eager planeteers creating their very own Earth Day bookmarks and picture frames to take home and remind them that every day is Earth Day. It was an entertaining and educational evening shared with other earth-minded community, city and nonprofit organizations. Thanks to the UCR Habitat Campus Chapter for volunteering their time to man the boothAqua Run 01!
