What a great group of volunteers that showed up early and ready to work on Saturday. About 35 volunteers from New Beginnings Christian Church in Norco jumped right in and got down to work painting in the King Arthur Mobile Home Park in Riverside. The group completely painted two mobile home units each with two sheds. One unit had a huge deck and wooden porch with rails that were a little rough. The homeowner, whose wife is still in the hospital recovering from a stroke, had asked if the volunteers could paint it to protect it from weathering. Not only did they painstakingly paint all of the uprights and all of the decking and rails, but they did a beautiful job. Both houses were completed within four hours. Both homeowners were thrilled with the work completed and the park manager was amazed at the quality of work done. This is the second project with volunteers from this church and project manager Kathy Michalak says she welcomes them back any time! In fact, she already has them scheduled for another project day in April. ~Kathy Michalak, Helping Hands Project Manager
